Statement on Gary Becker's receipt of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

I wish to congratulate our dear friend, Gary S. Becker, on receipt of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, this nation's highest civilian honor.  His distinguished career on behalf of free markets and social science has served this nation as well as the University of Chicago with towering distinction.  We are proud of Professor Becker's association with the CME Group as a founding member of our Commodity Markets Advisory Council.
